Paisley Mosquito Festival
This site will soon have information about the Paisley Mosquito Festival in addition to information about the mosquito control efforts to be undertaken around Paisley.
Why are we having a festival for the mosquitoes...we hate mosquitoes?
The Paisley Mosquito Festival was started in 1984 to help combat the high mosquito populations of Paisley. Since then, the community has used the annual festival as an excuse to bring families together, reunions, parties, etc... It has evolved into a multi-day event with separated activities.
We want to remind the community that the goal of the Festival remains as a funding source for mosquito control. Without the community's support through purchasing lunch BBQs, dinners, T-shirts or merchandise from the Festival organizers directly, the funds for mosquito control are affected. Without the profit of the Festival, mosquito control in Paisley is likely to become an extinct service.
We are looking into additional avenues to help collect the revenue needed to battle the mosquito. If you have suggestions, we are open to your input while we look into ways to reduce the mosquitoes for the community.
The 2018 Paisley Mosquito Festival has come to a close. Thank you to those who helped and for those of you who came out to support the festival. Pictures and information will be updates as soon as possible.
We are already planning for 2019. If you have ideas, suggestions or want to help, we would love to hear from you. firstname.lastname@example.org
We look forward to talking with you soon. If you are interested in helping out with the festival, please contact us directly.
